Home From work for the week.

Oh what? F2Fs? Getting right on that…
Time for little Piotrs to go beddy bye. I’ll see everyone tomorrow.

The smaller mutant, forgetting her utterly dreadful appearance took several quick strides toward the mutant. To say that he was large by comparison was an understatement. All muscle and height, Piotr was easily twice her size. Kitty’e eyes fell on his arms, those arms that held her close and protected her. “I got here a few days ago,” she began to explain, leaving a small gab between them. “I went back to my parents shortly after you left. I, like, I guess I needed to make sure they were dealing, you know? Since we all got ‘outed’ or whatever.”
His tension was noticeable. He was clearly weary of their encounter.
“Ah…” He stared down, not at her eyes but at the top of her head, he wasn’t sure he could look right into her eyes just yet, he’d get lost so easily. Normally he didn’t mind silence but in this situation it only made his feeling of awkwardness grow. He fought down the urge to steel up as he usually did in unpleasant situations.
“Katja… I em… ah…” He rubbed the back of his head. “I em sorry…”

Kitty’s hair was a wreck and she wore the t-shirt and shorts she’d slept in the night before as she dragged her bare feet against the carpet of the hallway. She had woken up way too early for her liking this morning. Kitty was anything but a morning person. Fingers balled into a loose fit, she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and her mouth dropped in a full yawn.
Rounding the corner headed towards the stairs, Kitty stopped short completely forgetting her mission to find breakfast. The girl had just found herself face to face with the one mutant she’d been dying to see since she’d returned. His huge body towered over hit; Kitty always had to crane her neck back to to look him in his eyes.
“Piotr!” she breathed, suddenly wishing she’d made an effort to get dressed. Kitty wanted to run into the arms of the man who used to bring her such comfort, but her body resisted. “Scott said he hadn’t heard from you. I didn’t think you’d be here.”
Piotr tensed up as he heard his name, spreading his fingers so he could peer out from behind his large hand. He lowered it slowly, swallowing nervously. “K..katja…” He suddenly felt very awkward, regretting his decision to not retreat back to the room. He’d left very abruptly before and he was not sure if this was going to be a good or a bad reunion. “I… kem in lest night, uery let.”

Sunlight, as it is wont to do, managed to find the one crack in the drapes that would fall right on the Russian’s sleeping face. He grumbled, screwing them shut before sitting up blearily. Apparently he’d had more than he thought… he didn’t remember getting a hotel room. He looked around and then got up, needing to do his morning routine. Not finding a toilet in the room he stumbled out into the hall, taking a left and wandering out of the boy’s dormitory at the institute.
This was too nice of a place to be a hotel with a communal bathroom…. Piotr grimaced, holding his face as he remembered. Logan had brought him to the institute to talk to the Professor, and no one had seen them come in… Perhaps he should just go back to the room and wait for Logan to come get him…

The other mutant seemed run down. Tired. “C’mon. Gambit’ll grab de vodka an’ we c’n catch up some.” Remy said simply, placing the other kitten - more of a cat - on Piotr’s shoulder while gesturing towards the living room. A quick detour in to the kitchen for the bottle and two largely un-needed glasses was all that was needed before they went to go sit. “Been fine. Ain’ been good, but fine.”
Vodka in both glasses, but the Cajun had almost no real interest in getting drunk. This was just friendly. “Dis one ain’ know why he still here, mon ami. Was gonna skip out like de res’ o’ y’all, mais fo’ some reason, ne’er stayed ‘way fo’ long.” A week here, a few days there, but he’d kept his place here. “Guess Gambit ain’ got no where t’ go. Cain’ go home, de world ain’ got not’in’ t’ do in it…”
Piotr sat down on the couch, mindful of his fluffy hangers-on but otherwise ignoring them as they used him as a mutant-shaped kitty-gym. He leaned back, letting out a sigh, it was nice to have a comfortable place to sit for a change. He took the glass, drinking it easily and letting out an even more content sigh.
“Dere must beink somethink in the world for you.” He smirked sidelong at Gambit, knowing it wasn’t in the mercenary’s nature to live-in with a random stranger, at least not for longer than a night. Besides looking around the house you would swear that Gambit was on the verge of going full-on domestic, it was clean, but it did feel lived in, more of a home than a crash-pad. “Uil your roommet be joinik?” He asked, one eye squeezing shut at a kitten paw descended upon it from the top of his head. Most people were terrified of the imposing man, but the cats did not seem to mind.
